On Wednesday 4/28, Troop 57 had our patrol meetings. Here are the reports.
Patrol 2:
The meeting started at 8:00 AM. After announcements and flags, we split off into two breakout rooms, one breakout room was focused on skills for the younger scouts and another was for figuring out what merit badges to do as a patrol. The breakout rooms were closed at 7:45. Afterwards we discussed what we should do with our 40 dollars. This included investing in stocks, buying pizza and boba, using it as backup, getting 2 Minecraft accounts, root beer float, and equipment for the patrol. The meeting ended at 8:00 PM.

Patrol 3:
Agenda: Flags, Announcements, What to do with $40 Discussion, Communications Merit Badge Speech
Summary:The meeting started at 7:00 and we began with the scout oath, scout law, and outdoor code. Then Neel the Patrol Leader presented announcements. He mentioned the upcoming SPL and and Patrol Leader elections, approaching our final meetings, the upcoming BOR, and patrol outings in the fall. Then, we had a fun discussion about what to spend $40 dollars on. Some of the funny ideas shared were to buy cookies, spend on a video game, buy a cheap car, buy mother’s day gifts, and buy a screwdriver. Finally, Neel gave a speech for the communications merit badge. He talked about the video game Assassin’s Creed. After that, we just talked and fooled around together until the meeting ended.

Patrol 6:
What to spend the all troop outing winnings on:
– Mr. Wiener says we could do a joint party with 402
– Beckett says rent a theater and the other patrol can come too, their money together with ours can fund the snacks.
– Tayton says mini golf, can be joint.
– Paintball?
Announcements:

Instructor Tayton:Will and Max showed their first aid kits to Tayton.
Tayon taught us about flag ceremonies.
Safety Merit Badge:Mr. Wiener will make a google folder to add stuff for the safety merit badge.

Patrol 7:
Overview: Went over advancement status of scouts, merit badges updates, and possible future in-person outing. Decided to host a short hike on Sunday April 18th. Hike lasted roughly 4 miles at the local Pearson-Astradero preserve, on Sunday at 2pm.
