Foothills Preserve Conservation Service Outing

On February 11th, 4057 Troop Guide Gray Liu led a service outing where around 20 adults and scouts worked with the Friends of the Foothills Preserve to weed out invasive plants such as thistles in Wildhorse Valley, to preserve the growth of native plants in the area. Scouts enjoyed the nice weather, teamwork, and lessons on plants and conservation, while working hard. Although there were spiders, forgotten forms, spiky thistles, and the condensation on the grass (resulting in wet feet), spirits were not dampened, especially surrounding the after-service hike, where scouts were introduced to Poison Hemlock.

Attached is an album with photos from the outing.
