Den Chief Julie Yang led an outing for Cub Scouts to complete their requirements. It was a great experience and opportunity for some of the Cub Scouts. They took a mile long hike around some scenic yet windy hills, and along the way scouts learned some outdoor awareness tips and tricks. Even though some were tired from a ski trip the day prior, everyone persisted and finished through Los Altos Hills. When we got back, after a major struggle with damp tinder and fuel, we managed to get a fire going (without a fire starter!) and had well deserved s’mores. The Cub Scouts were such a funny and lively group to work with!
Thank you Ms. Upreti for the chance to lead these scouts; activities like these is why Julie love being a part of Scouts and especially a Den Chief!
