Both Troops 57 and 4057 began conservation projects at 12:30. Multiple projects were performed simultaneously and all were great fun. Some patrols identified protected plants and marked them while others worked to weed the park of several invasive species, or repair water pipes damaged in past fires. The largest project saw scouts digging a large drainage ditch on the side of a road. Scouts ended the service project at 16:00 to prepare and eat dinner.
A multi-troop campfire was held by the Abish pond where skits were performed to persuade adults to invest in their “product” in a SharkTank-esque manner. The skits provided entertainment and many laughs. Patrol 1 persuaded the Sharks to invest in the Mary Poppins backpack aka the ScoutSack™. Afterwards, scouts gorged themselves on marshmallows and went to look at the frogs, salamanders, and stars. The next morning the scouts ate breakfast, cleaned their campsites and returned home.
