Scouting for Food, Troop 57 scouts will distribute door hangers and pick up donated food each year in November. Troop57 Life scouts will staff the collection station at the LDS Church on Middlefield Road.
Scouting for food is a two day event: we first place door hangers on houses in Palo Alto and on the next week we return to those houses and collected the food. In the year of 2019, Troop 57 collected 3316 lbs. of food, the equivalent of 2369 meals, and again were the #1 troop in the Stanford District. Troop 4057 collected 753 lbs. of food, the equivalent of 538 meals. In total we collected over 2 tons of food to feed people in need!
